Pachamama

How it works

From a phone call to a memorial forest.

There is nothing complicated about what happens here. A conversation, a walk, a ceremony, and then a lifetime of growing. This is the whole of it.

  1. 01 · Whenever you're ready

    A conversation

We start by listening — who the person was, what the family needs, whether the need is now or someday. There are no forms before feeling, and nothing is sold on the day.

  2. 02 · At the forest

    Choosing the plot

We walk the land together and choose your family's plot — a private four-by-four-metre place in the memorial forest that feels right. It is reserved for your family alone.

  3. 03 · The day itself

    The planting ceremony

A guided, dignified ceremony at the plot. The ashes are blended into the soil as the trees are planted. Some families speak, some sing, some stand quietly. There is no right way, only your way.

  4. 04 · In the seasons after

    The forest takes root

Ten to fifteen indigenous trees establish themselves on the plot, watered and tended by the family who live on and care for this land. Saplings that don't take are replaced.

  5. 05 · From then on

    A living memorial page

The plot's discreet marker opens a memorial page on any phone — photos, tributes, the story of a life. Far-away family can visit the forest from anywhere in the world.

  6. 06 · Over the years

    The family returns

Anniversaries, birthdays, ordinary Sundays. The plot can welcome further ceremonies as more of the family choose to return here, to the same ground, under the same trees.

What you can hold us to.

Tended in perpetuity

The forest is maintained by a dedicated care trust, so it is looked after for generations — not just for a season.

Indigenous, always

Only indigenous species, grown for this soil and this coast. The plot becomes part of a real, working reforestation project.

Private and unhurried

One family at a time. Ceremonies are never stacked, never rushed, never shared.

A place, not a product

You are not buying a service that ends. You are joining a forest that doesn't.

Walk the forest with us.

The best way to understand Pachamama is to stand in it. Come for a visit — no obligation, no hurry.

Begin

Every forest starts with a conversation.

Whether it's an immediate need, planning ahead, or simply a wish to walk the forest first — everything is arranged through Ever After, our sister funeral brand. One gentle conversation covers the visit, the ceremony, the plot and everything in between.
